«...Look, a new industrial city. And there was only one line in the seven-year plan: "To build a chemical plant in the north of the Urals." How much is hidden behind this line! "How many victories and defeats, sorrows, joys, human destinies...".


These words belong to engineer Kitaev, the hero of the new film "One Line", currently being shot at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio.


The story of this man, one of the ordinary builders of a chemical plant, is dramatic.


Not to some stranger, not to a random traveling companion, but to his wife, who was afraid of the difficulties of construction, he has to say:


— You and I, Nadia, are different people...

The location shooting has already been disrupted several times due to bad weather. Finally, the long-awaited sunny day has arrived, which is so rare in the Urals.


The operator is delighted with the enviable lighting. Filming has begun.


And then the neighboring factory began to smoke. Purple smoke drifted in a dense curtain all over the area...

The right is not afraid to assign a difficult role to an unknown actor. For example, a student of the acting studio at the Sverdlovsk Youth Theater in Biel was invited to play the role of brigadier Dudin.


An aspiring actor has to learn a lot, including how to open a tin can and how to cut a sausage. Through such seemingly insignificant details, the inner state of a person is sometimes revealed. Whether he is hungry or full, indifferent or excited, hospitable or stingy, he will behave differently in each case.


The role of Nadia, Kitaev's wife, is played by the actress of the Sevastopol Drama Theater G. Belenkaya. For her, working in this film is a new, difficult school. Cinema makes its own demands: there are no such long pieces as in the theater, you need to instantly enter into the role, into the environment and be able to switch off just as quickly. And even to such a "trifle" as standing for several hours in a fur coat and warm boots under the blinding rays of spotlights, you will not immediately get used to it either.


Of course, it is much easier for the actor A. Fedorinov, who played the role of Kitaev, and previously starred in films, as well as for actors L. Starokoltseva, I. Belozerov, and V. Chekmarev, who worked with him before. But this does not mean that there is no persistent creative search in their work. V.
